An agreement, which incorporates these booking
conditions, is formed between us once you have given us your credit or debit
card details when booking a StayDeansgate apartment by telephone, or after
having booked through the StayDeansgate web site.
Payment
To confirm your booking we require
that you give us your credit / debit card number. We will then send you a confirmation, by
post or email, which also serves as an invoice for the cost of your stay. The
full cost will be debited from your card 4 weeks before you are due to
arrive, or immediately for bookings less than 4 weeks ahead.
Cancellation and Insurance
Once you have booked your stay, our agreement
with you is a legal contract. You are allowed however to cancel your stay up
until 4 weeks before you are due to arrive. From that point onwards,
even if you decide not to, or are unable to, use the apartment(s),
you remain liable to pay for the booking in full. For these reasons we strongly recommend that you
consider
taking out appropriate cancellation insurance.
Non-availability of the apartment
We would only cancel your stay if the
apartment(s)
was unavailable for reasons beyond our reasonable control. We would attempt to
arrange for you
alternative accommodation elsewhere, however if this was either not possible or not acceptable to
you then we would refund to you all monies paid for your stay. Our liability to you
would not extend beyond this refund.
Key arrangements
When debiting the cost of your
stay from your credit/debit card, we will take an additional £50 key
deposit per apartment. We will either post the keys and entry door code to your nominated
address approximately two weeks before you are due to arrive, or make
them available for you collect locally on the day of your arrival. At the end
of your stay you undertake to return the keys to us in the jiffy bag
provided within 7 days, upon which we will refund the £50 key deposit(s)
to your card. You also undertake not to have any copies made of the
keys.
Arrival
The apartment(s) will be ready for you from
3.00pm on
the day of your arrival, unless otherwise agreed in advance. Please do not arrive earlier,
as the apartment(s) may still be being cleaned following the previous let.
Departure
You should vacate your apartment(s) by 10am on the
morning of your departure. To assist our cleaners, you are expected to leave the apartment(s)
in a clean and tidy condition, and in particular to remove all rubbish to the
refuse facility in the building.
Complaints
Should you find any faults or have any complaints
during your stay, please advise us of these by telephone (during or after your
stay) to the StayDeansgate office at Monkhouse Hill. The caretaker of the
development should not be approached directly. Any unresolved disputes may be referred to arbitration.
Liability
We do not accept liability for damage, loss or
injury unless caused by proven negligent act or omission of ourselves, our employees or
contractors, or agents of the same, whilst acting in the course of their employment. This
include loss or damage to the personal possessions you
bring with you.
Damage and Breakages
You are responsible for any breakages or damage you
cause to the apartment(s) and its contents. Please report these to us by phone before you leave,
otherwise we reserve the right to send you an invoice which will also include an administration charge of £25.00. Note
that we do not normally charge for minor breakages (eg glassware, crockery) provided that
these have been reported.
Noise and Nuisance
The apartments are located in a residential development. As such
excessive noise is not permitted, and whilst in the communal areas of the
building you must act in a manner appropriate to a residential development. Note
that the apartments must not be hired for the purpose of holding parties. Any
customer not adhering to the above may be required to vacate the apartment
immediately without any refund.
Web Site and Advertising
We make every effort to ensure that the information
and apartment descriptions contained on our web site and on other web sites are accurate. We do however reserve the right to make small changes
and we accept no liability for minor inaccuracies.
Pets
Apart from guide dogs accompanying
visually impaired guests, pets are not allowed into the apartment.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in the
apartments. An ashtray is provided for use if smoking on the balcony.
Telephone
You may make use of the telephone
provided in the
apartment. A free of charge call cost allowance of £1 per day (averaged
across your stay) is included in the rental cost. We reserve the right
to charge your credit/debit card for any usage above this amount should
such become apparent from the apartment phone bill.
